Stepping out of Greater Manchester's Wigan, Stanleys are back with their third single, Look Back, a song about leaving your hometown for the bigger world. Realising your dreams and putting the regrets behind you hints at escapism whilst still remembering where you're from.
Melodically, its larger than life sound instantly gets stuck in your head. Look Back is well balanced and bounces from strength to strength, further cementing their recognisable sound. Lyrically, the dark emotion coming with leaving the familiar in contrast to the freeing feeling of witnessing the bigger world around you makes for an anthem-like feel, equally universal and personal. It's undoubtedly one for summer road trips, preferably blasted through rolled down windows, feeling untouchable and carefree.
Look Back is the first single taken from their debut EP, sharing its name with the single, due to be released on September 17th, with a limited vinyl run through Blood Records.
Taking choice slots at this year's Liverpool Sound City and Kendal Calling, Stanleys will also appear as supports for The Lathums and The Lottery Winners before heading out on their debut headline tour this December.
Stanleys are Tom Concannon (Vocals), Jake Dorsman (Guitar), Harry Ivory (Bass) and Rob Hilton (Drums).
