Photo Gallery + Review: Chris Holsten live at Sentrum Scene in Oslo

Concert venues have finally opened their doors completely, and the audience was dancing, singing and crying as Chris Holsten took the stage with his band on Thursday evening.

Over the past few years the multi-talented artist has shown the Norwegian people what a fantastic songwriter and live performer he is with, among other things, his participation in Stjernekamp and Hver gang vi møtes. He has previously written songs in English, but is now conquering thousands of hearts with songs in Norwegian. He and Frida Ånnevik's rendition of If the World Was Ending (titled Hvis verden) became a huge success and was named Song of the Year during Spellemann 2020 (The Norwegian Grammys).

With a spectacular production and an incredible voice, he enchants the audience with songs about longing, mental health, love and heartbreak. His way of communicating through his songs is magical and the atmosphere in the venue feels completely unique. People are holding each other, crying, smiling and laughing. Holsten has his very own way of writing and performing songs that feels so incredibly real and vulnerable.

Towards the end of the show, he performs the superhit Smilet i ditt eget speil with pyro and confetti, and the show wraps up in a magical way. Thanks for an amazing evening!
