Don't Stop

Release: May 12, 2023

Review by Christine Mckerlie

Ever wanted a pop punk song that wouldn't sound out of place on a nightclub track list? Then look no further than Don't Stop by Haunter. With catchy electric beats and sick guitar riffs it is hard to not love this song. With lyrics that are fun and easy to learn this song will soon be in your top played.

This track blends so many genres seamlessly, as the song starts with glitched out beats we are soon hit with flawless space age vocals for which Lucy Lenoir executes perfectly. Sending us the message that you can give a big middle finger to fitting in and you can be who you want and create what you like just like this song with its mix of emo influences and electric synth beats.

Haunter are made up of Lucy Lenoir (vocals), Mark Schroeder (bass), Mike Ray (guitar/synth), and Enoma Asowata (guitar/synth). They are a self-proclaimed bunch of emo kids and metalheads which really does give us the perfect blend of influences and talent to create a new wave of music. This is certainly a band to be excited for and with the band themselves say that this track is "equal parts break up anthem and party vibes" and "start your own party", cementing the idea that you can be yourself and use this track as an anthem to become your true self.

The track also features an amazing guitar solo from Mike Gentile of Hey Monday and was co-written by TikTok superstar Julian Comeau (Loveless), again bringing in more incredible talent to help create this new wave of music.

So, if you're looking for a party anthem but still wanting to hold on to your emo roots then check out Don't Stop by Haunter, out now, and get excited for the future of this band because I for one think it's going to be a big one.
