Daniel Schulz has been one of the most promising new artists to come out of Denmark with the most streamed Danish debut single ever. Turn Back Time reached listeners all over the world with more than 70 million streams on Spotify back in 2017. The 23-year-old singer is known for his Scandinavian pop, a blend of uplifting beats and notes of melancholia, with twists of hip hop and R&B. His newest single, East Coast, is the perfect example of his genuine way to express his own life in his songs.
On East Coast he collaborates with Swedish singer MIMI. The catchy upbeat pop track is about changes and how life isn't always what you expect it to be. It's a declaration of love and gratitude – a song of hope.
Daniel has changed his mental focus moving from the hills of Los Angeles and big-city life in London to a new base in Copenhagen. He's here for a long run and to make a difference. "You learn a couple of things getting in to songwriting at an early age – accepting that it’s okay to revisit your insecurities and flaws from time to time – and these days I feel blessed and lucky to work with people who truly knows me and my story. My life and music feel more real than ever,” Daniel says.
East Coast is out now via Warner Music. Check it out below.
